Children of all ages in Sydney can participate in the City of Sydney’s school holiday program from Saturday 23 September to 8 October.
This year’s Spring school holiday program will include various activities and creative workshops at local libraries to suit children from five to 18.
Children aged five to eight years will be able to make their own flying machine from recycled materials at Wind Tubes day on Wednesday 27 September and Tuesday 3 October.
Edison Sumo Battle on Tuesday 25 September and Wednesday 4 October will involve children aged eight to 12 years building Lego armour onto an Edison robot, while children can make their own take-home robot at the Vibro Bot Racing day on Thursday 5 October and Wednesday 4 October.
Also, families are invited to stroll Hyde Park to catch an exhibition featuring the photography of Sydney youngsters, or get active with a full day of cycling and outdoor adventures at Sydney Park.
High school students will be able to participate in a surf lesson at Maroubra, an Art Gallery of NSW workshop, Oztag at Blacktown, or movies at Fox Studios.
“Whether you’re tech-minded, love getting creative with words or prefer being outdoors, we’ve made sure there’s something for everyone with a great line-up of free and affordable events,” the Lord Mayor Clover Moore said.
“The program is always popular and I hope our younger residents enjoy exploring different parts of the city, getting to experience something new and making new friends.”
