A new timetable for Sydney trains will launch this Sunday, on 26 November.

There will be 1500 extra weekly, 750 weekend services, and further changes to maximise the efficiency of a Sydney commuter’s journey.

“This new timetable is going to be a revolution in terms of the way in which people will be able to enjoy the benefits of train travel across the network,” Transport Minister Andrew Constance said.

160 new services will be available on the T5 Cumberland Line on weekends and late at night. This line will also extend to Richmond late into the evening every weekday, and early in the morning every weekend.
Extra trains will be available on weekends for Blacktown and Seven Hills commuters, lowering the average service to 10 minutes.

Burwood commuters will gain more services via the T2 Inner West Line. Passengers at Harris Park, Granville, Clyde, Auburn, and Lidcombe will also have to use T2 services, instead of the T1 Western line.
Blue Mountains express trains will now stop at Blacktown, but longer stop at Redfern, as commuters will have to change at Parramatta or Central.

This will improve connections between Western Sydney and South West Sydney.

The new $500 million B-Line bus service will also be launched this Sunday, as travel times are expected to be cut by six minutes.

The bus is a 38 double-decker, featuring limited stops and will run seven days a week from 4.30am to 12.30am. It will be available every five to 10 minutes.
