Kevin Kim has some impressive achievements in his long resume. Being the lead singer at a K-pop group sensation Z:EA, radio host for Arirang TV in Korea, and continuing it at Australia’s own SBS PopAsia.

However, the latest achievement that kept Kevin’s name buzzing in social media and everywhere, is his newest title as the Cosmopolitan and Tinder 2018 Bachelor Of The Year.

Voted by his fans and people of Australia, he was awarded the title and prizes as he proudly accepted them as the first Korean-Australian to win.

1) Congratulations on your big win for the Bachelor of the Year! I saw that you won despite heavy competition. How does it feel to win?
- I still can’t believe I won, and it feels absolutely amazing. I'm the first Korean-Australian to win - I feel proud to be representing my community. I really appreciate all the people especially the Korean community and my beloved fans that voted for me and for all their support.

2) Were you always so popular even in High School?
- Well I was actively involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities and participated in many school events, acting and conducted lots of concerts. I also held my very first benefit concert for Westmead children’s hospital in the auditorium of my high school in Sydney.

3) Do you remember your first date? What was it like?
- (laughs) It’s a secret and also confidential.

4) Describe your perfect date.
- I love watching movies and have never experienced the outdoor theatre setting. So it could be a perfect movie in an outdoor theatre, some popcorn and wine. Or I would even prefer going to a good fine dine restaurant for that perfect date and it would be the ultimate experience.

5) What did your parents say when they found out that you won? Do they want you to settle down soon?
- They always say that! “When are you going to get married Kevin!” But they are really happy about the win and have been very supportive and always want me to be safe and sound.

6) In the distant future, how would you like to propose?
- Never thought about that before… but maybe I would write a song and sing for her as a proposal!

7) You must come across thousands of good songs, being the radio host of SBS PopAsia. What would your ultimate wedding song be? Do you have more than one?
- Yes, heaps of amazing compositions. The one song in my head is “Sugar” by Maroon 5. That’s my kind of song.

8) Speaking of SBS PopAsia, how has the last year been as a radio host? What is the best part about being a radio host?
- Well I have been hosting radio shows now for more than 4 years. I hosted in Korea before and that got me here to Australia. The vibe, people and the SBS PopAsia team… it’s fun to be with them! I also got the opportunity to meet so many of my fans, which is amazing. Also knowing how big k-pop is in Australia, where I grew up!

9) From our last interview, I remember that you wished to see Tasmania. Have you travelled there yet? And more importantly, is there someone you want to travel there with?
- I definitely want to take my family to Tasmania. We lived in Sydney and we could never really explore Australia. But I am planning a trip soon to Tasmania to witness the beautiful scenery.

10) Finally, do you have any exciting news for your fans professionally or personally?
- Yes very excited to share that I am working on my new album. Music is my passion and can’t wait to finally share this soon with all my fans. Watch out for more!
