4000 commuter car parking spaces have now been completed along the Sydney Northwest Metro rail lines, and will be opened to the public in a couple of months.

The car park will be available for commuters from Rouse Hill to Chatswood and open at the same time as the Metro Northwest rail line.

“Sydney Metro will provide turn-up-and-go train services up to every two minutes and revolutionise the way we get around our great city,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.

“As part of the major investment we are providing 4000 new commuter car spaces to make it as easy as possible for commuters using the Metro,” she added.

The capacity of the Sydney Metro Northwest car parks will be as followed.

Tallawong will be equipped with 1000 spaces, Bella Vista with 800 spaces, Hills Showground with 600 spaces, Cherrybrook with 400 spaces and Kellyville with 1360 spaces.

In addition, there will be 340 spaces for bikes, 16 new bus stops and 52 taxi spaces.

This is part of the $8.3 billion metro project, which will include the extension of the Sydney Metro from the North West into the CBD.

“The Metro Northwest rail line is being delivered by the NSW Government on time and more than $500 million under budget,” Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance said.
