The United States President Donald Trump’s visit to South Korea has resulted in an agreement against North Korea, followed with another threat from North Korea.
South Korea and the U.S. agreed to completely remove the limit on the payload of South Korean ballistic missiles.

However, this has led to North Korea’s threats to strengthen their nuclear power.
“As long as the U.S. and its followers continue their hostile acts against us, we will further bolster our nuclear precious sword of justice,” the Rodong Sinmum said.

Further, Seoul officials said that matters to introduce nuclear-powered submarines and other advanced weapons to Korea were also discussed.

“We agreed to immediately begin negotiations on South Korea’s development and acquisition of the most advanced military surveillance assets,” President Moon said.
A Cheong Wa Dae official supported Moon’s statement, and said that the discussion included Seoul’s development of nuclear-powered submarines. Nuclear-powered submarines have previously been prohibited under a nuclear pact between Seoul and Washington.

President Trump said that even though he doesn’t want to use force against North Korea, he will if necessary.

“We have sent three of our largest aircraft carriers in the world and they are right now positioned. We have a nuclear submarine also positioned,” he said.

“With that being said, I really believe it makes sense for North Korea to come to the table and to make a deal that is good for the people of North Korea and the people of the world,” he added.

However, North Korea has also condemned the U.S. for raising tensions in the Korean Peninsula by sending three nuclear-powered aircraft carriers along with President Trump’s visit.
